The Heart of Our CityCommunity Involvement

Intercity Shopping Centre is a natural gathering place for the community. People come to shop as well as go for lunch or dinner, meet friends, and even get exercise in our Mall Walk Program.

It's also a great location to promote and support some of the important work non-profit and charitable organizations are doing in our community. Intercity provides a wonderful town square atmosphere for these organizations to connect with donors and supporters, and/or to provide information. We hosted many community organizations including the Thunder Bay Professional Firefighters' Association's "Toys for Tots" Christmas toy drive, Thunder Bay Literacy Group's Scrabble Fundraising Tournament, and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation's Intercity Shopping Centre 50/50 Draw.

Intercity is proud to host booths and events from organizations across Northwestern Ontario. It's an excellent way to help charities and community organizations have face-to-face time with the public, and bring people together.


Have a fundraiser or information campaign coming up? Intercity Shopping Centre would like to partner with you.

Intercity invites all non-profit organizations (registered charities and incorporated non-profits) to apply for a booth or other area within the mall to promote your upcoming event. Intercity provides the perfect venue:

  • High-volume traffic with lots of space
  • Temperature controlled
  • Close to amenities (food, washrooms, etc.)
  • Central location
  • Lots of free parking
  • Friendly, warm, and inviting

Intercity is the ideal location for your fundraiser, information session, or other event. As a community hub, we give you the exposure and contact with the public to help make your event a success!

How to Apply

  • Are you a non-profit group or registered charity?
  • Will you be using the space for a minimum of 3 days to a maximum 7 days, from January through to the end of October?
  • Have you utilized our space fewer than 2 times in the current year?
  • Will you be supplying your own volunteers?

If you can answer yes to all of the above questions, you are eligible to apply to use ISC space for your event. To apply, Download our Not-for-Profit Agreement. A Liability Insurance Certificate must be included with your application.

Cost per event is $40 ($60 if bringing in a display vehicle). Generally, we supply the space and one skirted table (group must supply chairs, etc. if needed). Special arrangements/spaces may be possible, though additional fees may apply.

Space is limited, and is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage organizations to apply early and provide as much lead time as possible so as not to be disappointed.
